PURPOSE OF MATCH: The purpose of these matches is to provide an opportunity for new and beginning shooters to learn and practice high power rifle shooting techniques. Instruction will be offered before the match and experienced coaches will be on the line to assist beginning shooters. These matches are Sanctioned by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). Participants using an as-issued M-1 Garand, M1903/A3 Springfield or Vintage Military Rifle will be eligible for CMP Achievement Awards. All participants completing the Clinic and Match will be issued a CMP Participation Certificate that can be used to qualify to purchase an M-1 Garand rifle from the CMP. COURSE OF FIRE:

There will be up to two (2) relays per training day. Experienced shooters are encouranged to fire during the first relay and remain to assist new shooters firing the second relay. The CMP M-1 Clinic will take place during Relay 1. All new participants are required to attend the clinic. Advanced practice and coaching, when available, will take place after the match. RULES: Current CMP Rules will apply. EQUIPMENT: Any center-fire high power rifles with metallic sights (CMP Rule 6 and NRA Rule 3.2) may be used. Burbank R&R Club M1 Garand rifles will be available for use. Please notify the match director prior to the match if you wish to use a club rifle. Caliber .30-'06 ammo may also be purchased for use in the match. All competitors must use shooting glasses and hearing protectors. A shooting coat is recommended. Shooting mats will be provided. PURPOSE OF MATCH: These matches are held to promote rifle marksmanship and to establish NRA high power rifle classifications across the full course (200/300/600 yards). NRA membership is encouraged but not required. MATCH SCHEDULE: This will be an 50 shot match fired at 200, 300, and 600 yards. See COURSE OF FIRE below for stage details. The order in which the stages are fired is at the discretion of the Match Director. The Match Director may also elect to have the slow-fire stages (1 and 4) fired concurrently and to have the rapid-fire stages (2 and 3) fired concurrently. COURSE OF FIRE:
RULES: Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules will apply. EQUIPMENT: Any center-fire high power rifle with metallic sights may be used (see NRA Rules 3.1 and 3.3). Sighting shots must be taken and are not convertible for score (see Rule 9.2). Match Director: Jeff Mendoza |
PURPOSE OF MATCH: These tournaments are held to provide a venue for participation, to promote good sportsmanship and good rifle marksmanship and to establish NRA HP Rifle Medium Range classifications. NRA membership is encouraged but not required. MATCH SCHEDULE: A 60 shot long range prone match will be fired in three separate stages using any rifle and any sight. Competitors are required to perform scoring duties and to operate the targets in the pits for each other. Any competitor failing to do so may be disqualified and have their entry fee forfeited. If necessary, the stages listed below may be fired in a different sequence than listed below. If deemed necessary, match director may revise the course of fire. It is likely that pit duty will not be exactly evenly divided amongst competitors but every attempt will be made to balance this duty consistent with minimizing the duration of the match. COURSE OF FIRE:
Normal capacity of 16 shooters. At the discretion of the Match Director, overflow competitors may be assigned to fire the course on reduced targets at 300-yards to raise maximum capacity to 32 shooters. RULES: Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules will apply. The match is open to any rifle conforming to NRA HP Rifle Rule 3.2 using any sight (NRA rule 3.7(c)). EQUIPMENT:
